The Sway (Lateral Shift)

Moving the center of mass off the ball instead of rotating.

The Illusion of Power

Many amateurs sway backward in an attempt to "load up" for power. However, moving the upper body laterally makes it nearly impossible to return the low point of the swing to the golf ball consistently, leading to fat shots.

You can verify this flaw using our Attack Angle Estimator.

The Balance Board Cure

The board strictly penalizes lateral movement. If your head and chest slide right, the board crashes to the floor on the right side. You are forced to feel pressure in the inside of the trail foot, rather than the outside.

Master the Anti-Sway Pivot drill to fix this.
